Natural Food Cures: Apple Cidar Vinegar

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Many people have sworn from the use of apple cider vinegar, for anything from weight loss, to fighting infections and for cleansing purposes. In fact, a little investigation revealed that it was used as a treatment for acne long time ago. Sufferers of eczema and psoriasis have also reported benefits with using apple cidar vinegar.

Apple cidar vinegar is fermented from apple and is often sold unfiltered. It is a yellow-brown color. Not many will take to the taste immediately because it has a very distinct smell and has a strong taste, due to its high acetic acid content. In fact, you will find it better to dilute it with some water to make it more palatable.

Apple cider vinegar can drank either straight or diluted. It is also available in pill form for those who don’t find the taste of the liquid for to their liking. Dosage can be as small as a teaspoon to as large as a few tablespoons depending on the purpose.

Today, apple cidar vinegar is also used to help with candida, dandruff and warts. It can treat heartburn and yeast infections. Its cleansing abilities can help you to shed pounds and also in the clearing up of embarrassing dandruff.

You can either drink it, diluted with water or use the mixture for application. Remember to dilute with enough water though as it can be very acidic. Apple cidar vinegar is also apparently sold in the form of pills, but I render that it is best to take it in its natural state.

Herbs For Skin

Many cosmetics nowadays contain chemical ingredients that are actually harmful to your skin. What are supposed to help you with skin rejuvenation or wrinkle reduction, can worsen your skin condition, without your realization. Over the counter products such as body washes and bubble bath typically contain detergents that can irritate sensitive skin.

On the other hand, you can consider using natural products, such as herbs, to help restore and keep its vibrancy . Herbs come from parts of a plant and are eco-friendly. You feel good while not adding to the pollution of mother earth. Generally, herbal products also do not require any animal ingredients or testing.

It is of course, far better to use herbal products, which come from organic plants. You basically want to avoid using products that may increase toxicity or cause a reaction to your skin.

Herbal preparations such as those made with balancing formulas of witch haze, mallow and botanical oils can also help to firm sagging skin and prevent the fine lines, scars and wrinkles acquired from pregnancies, weight loss or acne. These products specifically target problem areas — and if used regularly, can prevent and lessen skin problems.

Your skin is exposed to air pollution, bacteria and viruses. You should think about using herbs which are all natural and have been used by humans since the beginning of time. While these do not prevent aging (which is essentially a natural process), they can help by not increasing the toxic levels of your body, keeping you healthy and well.
