Drinking herbal teas have been known to be good remedies for headaches. Examples of herbal teas include chamomile, feverfew, lavender, lemon balm, rosemary or sage.

Alternatively, if you have always eaten unhealthily and suspect that your body has an overload of toxins, then try going for a detox diet. A detox diet consists of mainly raw vegetables and fruits, nuts, beans, soya products and plenty of water. Processed foods, dairy products, coffee, red meats are best avoided or eaten in moderation. Still, you may experience headaches during detoxing, but this should only be a temporary experience.

If the headache is due to stress, you may also wish to try getting Bach’s Rescue Remedy. Bach’s Rescue Remedy uses flower essences. Flower essences are dilute extracts of various types of flowers and plants that are used to treat animals and people. They are similar to homeopathic remedies in that they are diluted and potentized to make them more effective than just using the original flower as a herbal extract. You should be able to obtain a bottle at a local health store.

Other ideas to soothe headaches include getting a warm herbal bath to relax and ease muscles. Or getting a nice warm massage from your partner.

This increases his irritability on things however small. It is the same with me too. I get headaches whenever I feel extremely stressed.

Headaches can also be caused by hormonal changes, PMS, allergies, high blood pressure or even poor diet. I know at least 3 girlfriends who get pounding headaches whenever they have their periods. I will consider their experience frequent as this means that at least once a month, they are unable to function properly.

Those who get frequent attacks of migraine should best avoid eating cheese, chocolate, orange and drinking caffeine. Although it is difficult to prove the causal relationship between these food and getting headaches, people who changed their unhealthy diet to a healthier one have reported greater sense of wellness.
