Weight loss through natural food remedies

Weight loss through natural food remedies
by Sandra Kim Leong

At its most basic, dieting is about burning more calories than you take in. It’s simple mathematics. With the variety of novelty diets on the market today, this simple fact is often overlooked.

Natural foods have great health benefits, as well as being great for the dieter. Combine eating more natural foods with more exercise and you should see results. The more processed the food, the more calories. Also, natural foods do not result in many of the side effects that processed foods can bring. For instance, eating an orange fruit is much better than drinking a sweetened orange juice with preservatives and that comes from a packet.

What natural foods help you lose weight? Water, the most natural thing we can put in our bodies, is essential. Try 8 glasses of spring water or distilled water each day. Drinking water fills you up and help your body eliminate waste. You also reduce constipation problems with easy bowel movements.

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. They are full of vitamins and minerals, and you can eat veggies until you’re full. You can also choose to much on carrots and celery instead of potato chips while watching TV.

Wholegrain muesli is great for breakfast. Choose wholegrain bread and bakery items made with wholegrain meal instead of white flour and sugar.

Nuts and seeds are great sources of nutrients and fun to eat as snacks.

Use brown rice with your meals, and fresh potatoes compared to French fries from a fast food store is a much better food.

You may want to consider substituting organic foods and produce whenever possible to avoid the risks associated with ingesting the pesticides and hormones used in most food production today. Many health care experts are particularly concerned with the hormonal content of milk, so try choosing organic milk instead.

Remember, the closer to its natural state your food is, the better it is for you. Increase your intake of natural foods today and get off that diet plateau.
